Ender's teething troubles

When you've got a baby for the first time, you imagine everything will be difficult. You prepare yourself for all possible problems, but as you find out; like all parents you are never ready. Ender's mum is a dietician and works at the Akdeniz Universty hospital. She's scared of all illnesses that can sometimes cause some problems. One time, when Ender stopped feeding she went crazy. She measured his milk levels (Ender does not take Mum's breast milk directly; his Mum has to take it with a vacuum pump). Around 3 days ago he stopped feeding and sleeping properly. He and his Mum had to stay all night together. At this time he does need to be on his Mum's shoulders, like all the babies. She did some research and found out he might have a teething problem. He started to squeeze everything in his mouth 2 months ago and is producing lots of salvia.

There's sign of a tooth coming that we can see, and a baby wouldn't normally have a first tooth until 7 months, but all the signs are that he is teething at 5 months.

If anyone has any tips or advice on how to get through this period, we would be happy to have a comment from you.

Hi Carl & Zuhre
Yes it is normal for a baby to start teething at 5 months.
Lots of dribbling is a sign of teething. So here starts the fun of a teething baby. Try and get your sleep when you can, as it can be a lot of sleepless night for a while. Can you get teething powders out there, bon geler is good too.

Hi Vicki!
Yup we've all kinds of gels and teething rings.

He's getting very cranky and miserable when he's tired, but he's mostly happy; let's see later!

Cheers,
Carl.
